Notice is hereby given that the voters of the Municipality of Emerson- Franklin will be taken to elect Council from the following duly nominated candidates:

Voting Places

Voting locations will be open for voting on Wednesday the 28th day of October 2026 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at:

Ward 2 - Shevchenko Ukrainian Centre, 19 Church Road, Rosa, MB

Ward 4- Ridgeville Hall, 72 Main Street, Ridgeville, MB

Ward 6 - Emerson Complex, 101 Church Street, Emerson, MB

Please ensure you are aware of what Ward and Voting Place you are qualified to vote prior to Election Day.

Identification may be required before being allowed to vote. A person may be required to produce one piece of government issued photo identification (for example, Driver’s License or Passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.

Advance Voting

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on election day, an advance voting opportunity will be located at the Municipality of Emerson- Franklin office building, 115 Waddell Ave E in Dominion City, Mb

on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Mobile Voting

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but reside at a health care facility, a mobile voting station will be set up at the Emerson Hospital/Care Home located at 26 Main Street Emerson, Mb between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Thursday October 22nd, 2026.

Application to Vote by Sealed Envelope

A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, by fax or by email to the senior election official at the Municipality of Emerson-Franklin office, 115 Waddell Avenue, Box 66 Dominion City, Mb. R0A 0H0 Fax (204) 427-2224 or email; info@emersonfranklin.com

If applying in person*, a voter may apply between September 30th and October 25th, 2026.

* A voter applying in person may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application.

If applying by mail, fax or email **, a voter must apply by October 25th, 2026.

** A voter applying my mail, fax or email will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or by making alternative arrangements with the senior election official.
