The Council of the Municipality of Emerson-Franklin has contracted MWM Environmental for Residential Garbage and Recycling Collection services for a 5 year term (2024-2028).  MWM Environmental is a leading waste and recycling service provider in southern Manitoba since 1992 by providing cost-effective and environmentally friendly services to communities all around the Province.

The service provides curbside cart service.  All material, whether garbage or recycling is placed into a top of the line 360 Litre cart specifically designed to be effective and durable in our climate.

Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pm

All waste such as household garbage, recyclables, scrap metal, tire, oil and electronics may be deposited free of charge.

The following items being deposited into a bin, or being placed at the transfer station site for later deposit into a bin, the following applicable fees shall be changed as noted; 

Bulk Truckloads (Demolition or Construction) except household garbage:

½ tonne truckload/trailer                     $20.00 - Shingles $30

¾ tonne truckload                               $20.00 - Shingles $30

1 tonne truckload                                $50.00 - Shingles $60
